Costa Rica Hiker

Costa Rica is a rewarding place to hike. The views are amazing, whether it’s a panoramic vista or an orchid blooming on a fallen tree. It can also be a challenging place to hike. The trails are hard to maintain due to foliage and weathering, there are many fences and private property lines to navigate, and no database for how to find many of the trails that exist. That is why I started this blog. I began looking for a hike and trail description database when I moved to the Central Valley of Costa Rica but couldn’t find one. I hope you find this useful, and can enjoy hiking in paradise!

I am just starting this page, but I will be adding more hikes regularly, from around the country. I hope to make this the best online location for trail information for Costa Rica! If you have any trails you love and would like to share them, please message me and I’ll hike it and write it up!
